Two fourth-place finishes for the team in the first two races is nothing to sneeze at, but with the ups came downs. The extreme cobbles in Falmouth caused trouble for many riders. Unfortunately both Viktor Huseby and Kingsley Peachey gained injuries from the race, and Peachey had an extra mechanical to rub the salt in.
"There are good days and there are bad days. This just happened to be the latter. Nothing I can do but try and recover fast and be ready for the next race." Viktor Huseby post-race.
"I've had a lot of experiences very fast in my short time as a pro, and I suppose this is one to add to the list. Once I recover though, I hope I'll have retained my form from last season, where I got a few happy surprises." Kingsley Peachey in a press release.
On the happy end of the chart, Radoslav Holoubek had a good day in the saddle and held his own in an improvised sprint for 4th behind Paxton Starkey (GBR-ENG), Tomas Correyns (BEL) and Quentin Waugh (GBR-ENG). Max Barting held on without a leadout for 8th and Otávio Frade 10th.
